Thursday, June 9th, 6:00 p.m. The World Long Gone – (Verschwundene Welt) – opening of exhibition of photos by Roman Vishniac devoted to Jewish life in shtetls of Eastern Poland, today gone. The exhibition was displayed for the first time at the City Museum of Fellbach, Germany. The exhibit organized jointly with Friedensbibliothek of Berlin. Monday, June 13th, 6:00 p.m. LITERARY PROGRAM Religion without the Book? Ancient Greece – lecture by Dr. Krzysztof Bielawski (Institute of Classical Philology of Jagiellonian University). Monday, June 20th, 6:00 p.m. LITERARY PROGRAM The Noble Health, or Differently on Jews in Krakow – meeting with Katarzyna Siwiec, Mieczysław Czuma and Leszek Mazan, and promotion of their book titled Madame, We’d Be Putting the Baby Back, published by Wydawnictwo Anabasis, 2010. Authors of the book present the advances in medicine in a light, humorous and elegant manner. Tuesday, June 28th, 6:00 p.m. Sigmund Freud’s Question Regarding Gender – Biology, Phantasm or Destiny – lecture by Prof. Pawła Dybela (IFiS PAN, 101st meeting within the series of the International Club of the History of Idea of Jagiellonian University. Thursday, July 7th, 6:00 p.m. Countenances – vernissage of graphic works and illustrations by Gabriela Cichowska, student of the 5th year of the Department of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
